It's interesting, isn't it, how the photo is so much more alluring with the girl's dress still (just) covering her bottom. It leaves a sense of anticipation, allowing one to contemplate lifting the hem - and, perhaps, creates the impression that she still has a glimmer of hope (soon to be dashed) that she might just avoid being punished.
